This will be a grand adventure! I paddled about 2000 km this spring with the 2008 David Thompson Brigade and don't regret a moment of it. You will experience the wonder of the world as few modern people can. However, we could put ashore if the weather got too bad - you are in a different league. Years ago I bought Ashley's Book of Knots just to have that storehouse of accumulated ingenuity of hundreds of years of sailing. Your square-rigger must represent something near the height of sail-craft. What knots are you using in the rigging? I'll look them up. Cheers, James</description>
